DIY Twine Bottles
What you need:
-scissors
-glass bottle(s)
-twine or jute
-craft glue
When I begin wrapping I start from the bottom and work my way up. Squeeze a good amount of glue on the bottom half of the bottle and begin to wrap with twine. While you're wrapping, push the twine down so as to avoid gaps.
The main part of the bottle is very simple. Once you reach the neck it gets tricky. Wrap slower and take your time, making sure to push the twine down to fill gaps.
Once you reach the top, snip the end and use a dab of glue to glue the end of your twine down.
That's all there is to it! I love these bottles because you can decorate with them all year round and add festive ribbons or artificial flowers to decorate for the season. I think these will add a nice rustic touch to my table scape at the wedding reception, don't you?

Selfie Worthy Lashes
So, over a month ago Miss Melissa sold me on Younique's 3D fiber Fiber Lash Mascara or "lash crack" as she calls it. She promised my lashes would look super fabulous and boy was she right! This stuff is amazing! I've always thought I had long lashes but this mascara just gives them extra length and volume. The more you put on, the more dramatic your lashes will look. It's an easy three step process involving a transplanting gel and green tea fibers. Super natural and never tested on animals! I love it and am so glad I found it before the wedding. My eyes are gonna look AMAZING for my big day!! Wanna try it? Check out my party: www.mascaravictoria.com. Look for Casey's party! The mascara is just $29 and can last up to 3 months!
Can you guess which eye is 3D??

Nice to Meet You!
Hi, I'm Casey! I'm a northern girl living in sunny Florida and not missing the snow one bit! As you probably guessed I love peonies, potato chips (specifically the dill pickle ones!) and I love to write. I've blogged here and there but am finally deciding to be consistent! I work in the marketing world and do a lot of writing but I miss writing for fun. Currently I'm planning for the most important day of my life--my wedding day! The soon-to-be hubs and I are planning our wedding on a small budget and I've been doing a lot of research and DIY's so I suppose that's what has spawned this blog. While I want to share all my tips and tricks with you brides-to-be I don't want this blog to only be about weddings. I like to cook, I have the cutest Chiweenie in the world named Ruby, I just signed up for my first gym membership, and I love Jesus! I would love to share bits and pieces of my life with you--happy moments, sad moments, triumphs and hardships. I believe that strong, powerful relationships can overcome anything and while I may never meet you in person, I hope my words can encourage and inspire you whether it's to try a new recipe or to seek God in His plan for your life. Here's to new adventures! Leave me a comment and let me know you stopped by!
XO,
Casey
